March Break is On! Sledding
It's March Break! Today was a beautiful, mild day at +2. The boys and I decided it was definitely a day to play outside in the snow and the sun. After lunch, we suited up, collected our sleds and "crazy carpets", and headed to Stonepark. Stonepark Junior High is well known for it's sledding hills - they're the best. The hills are part of a "bowl" that have a track and a soccer field at the bottom. The sides are perfect - you go for a good run! However, there is one end that is quite steep (your legs let you know it as they burn on the climb up) and you go down at an amazing speed. We have had some mild days lately so the snow is now icy and fast. The boys were up for it and as they say, it was "wicked"! Someone had made a few bumps and jumps on the hill and the boys thought they were great. One of Chandler's friends was also there and shared in the fun. We spent most of our afternoon coasting the hills before heading home to play in our own yard for a bit. I finally coaxed the boys in for supper (they didn't realize how hungry they were) with their wet snowsuits hanging off them. What a day! We had a ball and we weren't cold - not even Mommy.
